Cardiologists on RPH’s Medical Staff have been continuously involved in national as well as international landmark studies conducted to compare various medications in the effectiveness of treatment on cardiac patients. In addition, the medical center is periodically involved in Health Care Quality Improvement Projects, statewide cardiology studies sponsored by the Tennessee Foundation for Medical Quality.

River Park’s Emergency Department is an accredited Chest Pain Center. The Chest Pain Center offers a systematic approach for patients experiencing chest pain where immediate response and prompt attention are key.
The CAP Laboratory Accreditation Program is an internationally recognized program and the only one of its kind that utilizes teams of practicing laboratory professionals as inspectors. Designed to go well beyond regulatory compliance, the program helps laboratories achieve the highest standards of excellence to positively impact patient care. The laboratory at River Park Hospital is CAP accredited.
The program is based on rigorous accreditation standards that are translated into detailed and focused checklist requirements. The checklists, which provide a quality practice blueprint for laboratories to follow, are used by the inspection teams as a guide to assess the overall management and operation of the laboratory. Mammography Quality Standards Act and Program
Our mammography program meets all of the guidelines set by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA.) More than 9,000 FDA-certified facilities nationwide work to uphold the goal of the Mammography Quality Standards Act of 1992 as amended in 1998: to ensure the safety and reliability of mammography and help detect breast cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages.
